Ron Lipking has illustrated more than a dozen books for children, including Old-Fashioned Christmas (a pop-up carousel book), Silent Night, Jingle Bells, and Deckthe Halls (all pop-up books of songs), and Siney Funworks' The Wacky Farm series. He has also illustrated for Spider, Cricket, and Sesame Street magazines. Mr. Lipking lives ins southern California with his four children, his wife, Cathy, and a horse named Cinder.

My Thoughts:
The Race is a book about cars racing. It rhymes a lot. It is definately meant for young kids. Its a good book to help kids learn how to read and I think it will be one that can't be put down once the children know it.
